Christmas Cards and Watercolors

I have loved playing with our new water colors!  I was inspired by cards I saw on pinterest.  These were super easy.  Grab some water colors and paper and start messing around.  There are so many fun things you can do!

The Nativity scene was cut using the Artfully Sent Cartridge.  The postage stamp was cut from the Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge.  The "25" was cut from the new Artistry Cricut Cartridge (this is my favorite font off of any of the cartridges!)

Snowman Hat - Santa's Workshop

Join me at my Santa’s workshop THIS Saturday from 11 AM -Noon at my home in North Salt Lake. We will be making this snowman hat. I will provide the supplies for you to be able to complete one. Please bring your own finishing supplies (glue, scissors, liquid glass, score board, etc.). Let me know if you will be coming so I have enough supplies on hand. Bring a friend! Everyone is welcome.

Thankful Shadow Box

Tis the season for being Thankful.  This was so simple and didn't take very long to put together.  Close to My Heart's Decor Shadow Box is a beautiful frame that would add to anyone's decor.  It comes in Colonial White as well.

I cut the tree from the Art Philosophy cricut cartridge.  The leaves, banner, and letters are cut from the Artistry cricut cartridge.  Colors I used are Sunset, Cocoa, Ruby, and Flaxen.

I can't wait to create a Christmas themed one and continue to use this beautiful frame as a decor item in my home.

Cheers! - 2016 Tags

I have a sweet customer who trusts me every year to design the tags she attaches to her neighbor gifts.  Hopefully I don't ruin the surprise for her neighbors by posting these, but I really loved how these turned out!  She had the idea to give out sparkling fruit juice with Happy New Year tags! What a great idea!

 I was on the fence about the November Stamp of the Month Cheers-2016, but after playing with it I really love it! With all the fun fonts, sayings, and banners there is a lot you can do with this set.  I paired it with the White Pines paper and color combos to make the perfect tags.

Scrapping For Smiles - Artistry Cards - Chubby Chicken Taquitos

A big THANK YOU to everyone who came and supported my Scrapping For Smiles Crop for Operation Smile!

These are three of the cards we created using the new Artistry Cricut Cartridge.

Of course we had yummy snacks everyone brought to share and for dinner I made Chubby Chicken  Taquitos.  I promised to share the recipe.  Here it is, ENJOY!

CHUBBY CHICKEN TAQUITOS

• 3 cups cooked shredded chicken (I used rotisserie)
• 8 oz. cream cheese, softened
• 1/3 cup sour cream
• 1/2 cup salsa
• 1 1/2 cups shredded mexican style cheese
• 1 1/2 cups chopped baby spinach
• Salt and pepper to taste
• 9-10 (6 inch) four tortillas

PREHEAT OVEN TO 350

1. In a large bowl mix together the chicken, cream cheese, sour cream, salsa, cheese, and spinach.  Season with salt and pepper to taste.

2. Spread 2 heaping tablespoons of chicken mixture on to tortilla and roll up.  Set seam side down on baking pan (I cover mine with foil first).  Repeat until all tortillas are filled.

3. Bake at 350 for 15-20 minutes, until tortillas are crispy and filling is hot.

Serve with your favorite dipping sauces, mine is guacamole.

Friend Tree - Watercolors

I spent last night with a fun group of ladies at my friend Erica's house teaching them about watercolors and Close to My Heart products.  This is the card we created.

Erica wanted a fall themed card for her make and take.  I used the Sangria color palette as inspiration for this card.  The background tree paper is actually from our White Pines paper packet.  I used Poppy twine and gold sequins for accents.  I used Memento black ink for the sentiment and water color paper and water colors to paint the leaf and the swish over the sentiment.  The sentiment comes from the stamp set D1677 Friend Tree.

I love this card so much I will be adding it to my Card Creation Station this month!

Twinkle - Time Is Running Out

I used markers for this one.  Love the ShinHan markers.  The colors I used are Z2467 Warm Grey, Z2452 Golden Yellow, Z2454 Leaf Green, Z2465 Turquoise Blue, Z2453 Lavender, and Z2448 Carmine.  Go HERE to order your very own markers. 

 For this card I used kraft cardstock and the White Pines paper packet.  I tied a snowflake charm on with thick twine and added a silver sequins for a finishing touch.

Again I used the White Pines paper packet, it's perfect for the holidays.  I cut the holly using our new Cricut cartridge Artistry.  A little fern thick twine, silver shimmer trim, and red enamel gems finished  it off. 

Pumpkin Treat Bag - Om Nom Nom

Need a quick and easy Halloween treat?  Look no further!  This takes hardly anytime to create and who doesn't love cheese balls?

This treat bag was one of the make and takes at our last team meeting. It is so fun to get together with other consultants and be inspired and make fun things like this!   Join my CTMH family and you too can come play with us!  You can find more info on joining my team HERE.

To make this cute pumpkin all you need is a cellophane bag, ribbon, and tag supplies.  This one looked like a vase to get the round shape, I'm sure any cellophane bag would work though.  We took a stencil of a pumpkin face cut using the Artiste Cricut cartridge.  We colored in the face using a good ol' sharpie marker.  You could tie with a ribbon and leave it at that or add a fun tag.  I love the Om Nom Nom stamp!

Twinkle Tags - October Stamp of the Month

I know I have mentioned before how much I love this set, but this is one of my favorite stamp of the month sets!  It took no time at all to create these festive tags.  I used the Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge to cut the tags from White Daisy Cardstock and Kraft paper.  I then stamped the images and added some twine and done!

Jolly Holiday Base and Bling Ornament

Believe in October's Stamp of the Month

Let's take a closer look a this card I made using October Stamp of the Month - Twinkle.  My most asked question is how do I come up with ideas for my cards?  As much as I want to say they magically appear in my brain, that is rarely the case.

For this card I used my Originals Card Confidence Program.  The design I used you can find on page 99.  I love the Card Confidence Program because it gives you a sketch with cutting guides along with samples and creative tips.

Pinterest is great too, but this makes it simple with the cutting guide, saving you time trying to figure out dimensions and it doesn't require an internet connection! :-)
