End of the Month, End of an idea book, End of a special

July 31st marks the end of a few things here in Close to My Heart land.

The idea book that looks like this is retiring July 31st along with a lot of it's contents.  You can check out what is still available HERE on my website.

Calypso Cards & Potty Training

Potty training is in full swing at my house.  I needed to make some thank you cards, and I needed to make them quick, in between trips to the potty.

I pulled out my Calypso paper packet and the matching compliments.  With some cardstock for layering, Finding Words stamp set, and sequins for accenting, I was ready to create!

I cut simple squares for layering in black, white, and the blue striped patterned paper from the Calypso paper packet.  I stamped "Thanks so very much" with the stamp set D1646 Finding the Words in black ink.

I added some of the stickers and vellum pieces from the Calypso Compliments.

Fast, easy, and ready to mail!

Hoping for the same result for the potty.  Well, fast and easy anyway.

UPDATE:  He has done so well!  Caught on in a few days and no accidents since!

Erica's Party!

We had a great time playing with Close to My Heart products at Erica's party and each guest was able to make one of these cards. 

We used:

C1647 A Bunch of Love stamp set

Z3251 A Bunch of Love Thin Cuts

Z3213 Florence Sequins

To color in the flowers we used either a variety of Shin Han markers or guests could use the water colors with the medium water color brush.

It was a great party and Erica is an amazing hostess!  Thanks again Erica!
