Hope For Japan

Jeanette Lynton, the founder of Close To My Heart is so awesome! She wanted to find and easy, real, and practical way to help with the relief efforts in Japan. She has created this wonderful stamp set and giving it to us for a great deal!

Typically, our A-size sets retail for $7.95, but the "Hope for Japan" set will be available through April 30 for just $5--and Close To My Heart will be donating 100% of the profits to the American Red Cross to benefit relief efforts in Japan!

If you would like to order this set and help Japan, you can go HERE, call, or email me. This set would make a great gift so order a few while your at it! It's a great cause!

Crepes

My Dad used to make these when I was little. I loved them! I still do! There are so many possibilities of what you can roll up into the crepe. Our favorite is sugar and lemon juice (sparingly). In the one pictured I put fresh strawberries and cool whip. I've also cooked up some chicken, diced it, added it to chicken gravy to make a more dinner like crepe.

Crepes
3 eggs
1/2 tsp salt
1 1/2 cup flour
2 cups milk
1 tablespoon sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla
2 tablespoons melted butter

Combine everything but butter in a blender. Blend on low for 1 minute. Add butter. Blend on low for another 15 seconds. Warm up a large skillet on the stove (I put mine on the 4, whatever that is, medium low?). When skillet is warm pour about 1/4 cup on it and pick up and swirl until the crepe batter is spread and in a circle type shape (does not have to be perfect). Cook until it's bubbling in the center and the edges start to brown, then carefully flip over. Cook on the second side a shorter amount of time, until it doesn't stick to the pan anymore. Repeat! I can make about 12 crepes or so with one batch of batter. Roll your favorite fixings in the middle and roll up. Enjoy!

Sophia Circle Cards

It happened again, a cute customer of mine ordered another one of my favorite products so I had to make a thank you card using it! She took advantage of this month's special and ordered $25 worth of stamp sets and recieved a block FREE! Click HERE for more details.

I only needed one card, but my tip to you is while you're creating one you might as well do a few more, that way you have a few extras on hand when you don't have the time to make a handmade card.

I used a lot of our newer products on this card: Sophia Paper, Kraft Color Ready Borders, Buttons-Pink Assortment, Opaques Pearl Adhesive Gems, C1401 Friendship Alphabet Small stamp set (one of my favorites!).

March Craft!

We will be making these cute 3x3 mini albums this month. These little guys have endless possibilities! Just a few ideas are to make one into an ABC book, add photos for a child's quiet book or brag book for grandma, a baby album or a trip album. The small size is great for little hands and easily fits in a purse or bag. The 3x3 pages fit wallet size photos. Fun for Easter baskets! You will have two times to choose from to come and complete your projects. The first one is Thursday March 24th @ 10am. You are welcome to bring your little ones to play while you finish your projects. If you would like a little adult time, come on Friday the 25th @ 7pm. Sign up and prepay by March 16th!

Paper choices: Sophia or Fanfare.

Now for pricing! These are so affordable!
Basic Album - $6.50 It includes the album and patterned paper to fill album.
ABC Album - $12.00 It includes the album, patterned paper, and 1/2 package of Hodge Podge letters. Add up to two more albums for only $6.50 each!

Add the Kraft borders for only $6.80! There are so many borders in a pack that you can use them for many albums or share with a friend. I'll be showing you different ways to use them not only on your album, but on other projects too.

Add the Hodge Podge letters for only $4.50! These are great to add a title to the front of your album, like I did for the Mickey album below or use throughout your album.

Get a Basic Album FREE when you host your own craft night! You'll also be eligible to earn hostess rewards (more free product). Call or email me (scrapinandstampin@hotmail.com) for more info and to set a date!

I can make as many basic albums as you would like for an additional $5 fee (total, not per album). I will leave the pages blank for you to add photos.

The album on the left I used the basic album kit and kraft borders. The album on the right is the ABC album kit and kraft borders.
These are a few of the pages I did for the ABC book. I will have some stamped images for you to use. I also used pictures of family to represent different letters. Those pages are my little girls favorite!I used the Basic Book Kit and Hodge Podge Letters to create these Disney inspired albums. My plan is to make them into an autograph book. I will have the characters sign one side and then when we get home I will put a photo on the other side for a vacation keepsake.
Would you like to win one a basic album kit? Enter to win by leaving a comment with your name and which album is your favorite! The winner will be chosen on March 16th!
