Using An Album For Storage

My albums came today and I was so excited to show you the idea I had for one!

I have a lot of accents in the original packages in a basket that looks like this:

Let me tell you how hard it is to find the perfect accent for your project when they are all jumbled together in a basket and I loose a lot because they stick to each other. It's been driving me crazy, but I just didn't know what to do with them.  Then I had a light bulb moment!  I had a few of Close To My Hearts new Memory Protectors sitting around.  They have a variety of pocket sizes.  I wondered if they would fit the accent sheets..... and they do!

So I took all my accents out of their original baggie and tucked them into the page protectors.  I would recommend the item # 4113 Design 2 Memory Protector.  That way all the openings are on the top and the accents won't slip out.  I have a variety so I used what I had, but the top loading ones would work best.

This came in the mail today - Lagoon D-Ring Chevron Album  Item# Z2090

I added the page protectors with all my accents.

In a matter of minutes I now have a cute and more organized way to view my accents!

Right now albums are buy one get one half off!  Purchase one for your scrapbook pages and one for your accents!  This deal ends at the end of February so order soon!

Variety of Thanks- Hopscotch

I was lucky enough to participate in another awesome consultant swap.  This is the card I created using the products featured in the Seasonal Expressions.

I used my new favorite cricut cartridge, Artfully Sent for the flower cut outs.  You can find this cut on page 17, the pocket card.  I cut it down more to fit my 4x4 card.  It looks super cute as a standard size card too.

Other products I used:
X7194B Hopscotch Paper Packet
B1471 Variety of Thanks stamp set - Hostess only set
1388 Colonial White CardStock
Z2196 Smoothie Ink
Z2642 Flaxen Ink (to sponge around flower cut outs)
Z3024 White Shimmer Trim
Z1752 Clear Sparkles
Z1853 Aqua Dots

Z1912 Corner Rounder
Heart Puffy  Sticker

You can purchase any of these items on my website www.ctmh.com/juliescott.

Hugs and Kisses Valentines Box

We made this cute box at our last craft night.  At craft night I always have a "bonus" project you can make if you didn't sign up for the main project, or in addition to the project we are creating.  Our next craft night will be on February 20th, so mark your calendar to join us!

I used the Artiste Cricut Cartridge to cut out the box in White Daisy Cardstock.  You can find the box on page 38 of the Artiste cutting booklet.  I cut it at 5 inches as suggested in the book.

Other products used:
X7193B Heartstrings Paper Packet
M1054 XOXO stamp set
Z2116 Cranberry Ink
Z679 Liquid Glass to glue it all together

Cranberry Twine

The finished project measures about 2 3/4 x 2 3/4 (not including the handle) perfect for a little gift or fill with goodies to give to your favorite Valentine.

Easy Neighbor Gifts For This Holiday Season

These are a few neighbor gifts I made up for the boutiques I participated in this season.  They are pretty easy to make them up yourself if you still need an idea!

My friend Angie designed the "Grate" and "Joy" tags.

Merry and Bright was super simple!  I cut out a tag shape using the  Z1686 Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge.  "Merry & Bright" is from B1468 Merriest Christmas stamp set stamped in  Z2116 Cranberry Ink.
